Single sign-on
You can set up your Cloud Identity or Google Workspace account to use single sign-on (SSO). When SSO is enabled, users won’t be required to enter a password to access Shiptify services. Instead, they’ll be redirected to an external identity provider (IdP) for authentication.
SSO offers several benefits:
- It enhances the user experience by allowing them to use their existing credentials, reducing the need to frequently re-enter login information.
- It ensures that your current IdP remains the primary system for authenticating users.
- It eliminates the need to synchronize passwords with an external Cloud Identity provider.
To use SSO, a user must have an account in Cloud Identity and a corresponding identity in the external IdP. SSO is typically used alongside an external authoritative source that automatically provisions users in Cloud Identity.
